Since 1994, our family has been dishing out smiles and creating unforgettable memories right here at Jerry & The Mermaid. Founded by our visionary parents and lovingly nurtured over the years, we're now proudly passing the seafood baton to the next generation. From our kitchen to your table, we bring you the finest in seafood and American fare, served with a side of warmth and hospitality.

Chef Bio
Chef Jerry Dicecco Jr. is the second-generation owner and chef behind Jerry & The Mermaid — a family-owned waterfront restaurant that has been serving the Riverhead community for over three decades.
Following in the footsteps of his father, who was the original chef and owner, Jerry Jr. carries on a legacy built on hard work, hospitality, and a genuine love for bringing people together through food.
More than just a chef, Jerry is a true host. On any given day, you'll find him in the kitchen crafting fresh, seafood-driven dishes or out on the floor greeting guests, checking on tables, and making sure every experience feels personal.
Known for his commitment to quality, community, and consistency, Jerry has built more than a restaurant — he's built a gathering place. From casual lunches to celebrations, fundraisers, and family milestones, Jerry & The Mermaid has become a staple of the East End.
His passion extends far beyond the plate. Through community involvement, charity events, and initiatives like The Mermaid Project — which helped feed hundreds of local families and first responders — Jerry continues the family tradition of taking care of the community that has supported them for generations.
At the end of the day, Chef Jerry believes great food brings people together — but it's the relationships, and the legacy behind them, that keep people coming back.
